The chosen.

During the early days of creation, all creatures were manifested with different traits, some where quite similar and others very different. Some where, in fact, even detrimental to their lives and some others where extremely advantageous. All creatures where not suited to their original home, and due to that, they wandered throughout the world seeking a place where the way they were made would be more suited to the landscape and nature.

But, the odd one in this story was Man. Man was born differently from all others, the original vessel was defective. Came without a soul, without a seed, without a mind, without life force, and it was all given when the spirit of Sol went to inhabit these empty husks. but it was Sol who paid the hefty price.

Unlike the other mighty beasts of that era, Man came with no quirks and no traits that would prove advantageous. Their skin was thin and exposed, they didn’t had no claw, no fang, they were not fast, nor tall, neither strong, they couldn’t fly nor breath inside water, and due to not having a single ability, quirk, trait or talent, every waking moment was a true nightmare. All beasts that could hunt would gladly hunt a human down, as it was the easiest target, and mankind could only try to do their best not to perish completely.

Si observing mankind’s struggle, felt compassion burst, and sympathized with that poor creature. Scoured the entirety of the world in search of a place where mankind could live a better life, rather than being just livestock for the mighty hunting beasts, and found, at the center of the world, surrounded by mountains a valley where a river of clear water ran free, where tall trees and vast emerald expanses covered the land, no hunting beast lived there, and the many beasts that inhabited the realm were kind and docile. Now it was a matter of finding a leader to gather as many as humans possible, a leader courageous and tenacious to walk the distance and guide mankind to that pristine bastion of hope.

And the leader was found, a man in the middle of his lifespan, a bit stronger than average, his eyes were amber in color and hair in a darker shade of ash, his demeanour was inspiring and protective, his mind was faster than the average, Si approached him and gave the blessing of name upon him, and the man’s name was Damir.

The Departure.

Si explained Damir about the paradise of clear water and emerald land. A place of safety and bounty where mankind could finally live in peace. But also told him about the dangers of the journey, but reassured that the spirits were to protect mankind all the way there. Si felt something important in the future of mankind, some important role, and felt that it was decisive that they needed to be saved. Si then alongside Damir ventured the land gathering a host of other humans, males and females of all ages, and when the number grew to satisfy Si’s vision, Si spoke. ”Children, far into the country lies a beautiful paradise where mankind will flourish, where your generations will forget the pains and the suffering of the rest of the world. A place of clear water, emerald expanses, blue skies and abundant food, a place of safety and peace, Damir, my chosen will lead you thorough this journey, and there you shall abide. And fear not of losing your way, look above to the skies and follow the light i commanded to the skies, walk in its direction and soon you will be free.”

After saying these words, Si retired to the heavens of the world and never spoke another word to mankind.

The journey.

For countless nights and days, mankind marched, with the elements commanded to protect those who where branded the children of Si, Damirkin, People of Damir, the last hope of mankind. Harm where at a arms length, many beasts tried to hunt down the blessed lot, but were stricken down mercilessly by Eistatises heavenly fury, and no mountain or mount stood in the way as Calá ordered them to bow and bend, the wind blew strong to send flying beasts away by Dalé’s command and all the other spirits were watching guard closely. But not once humans saw their bodies and faces, and not once humans heard their voices, only Damir, the chosen could do so.

Some succumbed to injuries, some succumbed to illness, and not many could further the journey ahead, and few saw the gate that lead to salvation.

The Paradise.

The last night of the journey seemed bathed by light of midday. As they were so close to the promised light even the sky was showing a blessed hue of blue.

once they finally made the first steep inside, Si’s voice could be heard by Damir.

“Damir, my champion, my chosen, there it is, the land i promised to you and your people. Damir it is now in your hands, to watch, to listen, to learn, and to teach your people to do so too. This land marvellous is but your people’s first opportunity, embrace and let the desire for a better life always guide you and your children, teach them well, and soon many great things are to come. You and your people share something great, a gift yet to be discovered by you, and now that you are in a peaceful paradise, this gift will bloom and grow and drive mankind to unseen heights.”

this concludes the account for the early days of mankind.
